That's what people always say to me at work, if I don't have a book or my PDA or my eBookwise Reader with me at lunch. I love to read and I guess it's obvious. So many books, so little time...and so much dust in my apartment.

April stats!

This month, I read 17 stories - which might be books, novellas, or short-stories. And this is where I reveal a clue to what I do for a living - if there are numbers involved, I just have to crunch them!

Boy, I wish I hadn't seen this. Now I'm really tempted to figure out some stats of my own, maybe make a graph to see what kind of curve my ratings make....

Explanation of my Rating Scale:

I rate on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is the worst and 5 is the best.

You will seldom see 1s on this blog - if I dislike a book that much, I generally won't finish it! And I'll never publish a review if I haven't actually read the book entirely. That's not fair to the book or the author.

Please keep in mind that ratings are subjective to the reviewer, despite any claims to the contrary. My ratings will be affected not only by the technical merits of the book, but on what experiences I had that day, how many books I'd read in the same genre lately, how I felt about the characters, and whether I liked the ending.
